This full-time role is designed for healthcare professionals who possess a deep understanding of podiatric care, coupled with the leadership qualities needed to educate, train and supervise clinical staff. Unlike traditional clinical roles confined to one facility, this position provides the rare opportunity to travel across the beautiful state of Oregon while impacting healthcare delivery on a broader scale.
The specialist becomes the linchpin of NWCare’s mission to raise the standard of care for residents in assisted living communities by equipping medical teams with the skills, tools and protocols needed to manage a wide range of podiatric conditions – from toenail debridement to wound etiology based on biomechanics.
What sets this opportunity apart is its integrative approach to patient care and professional development. NWCare’s podiatry program isn’t standalone – it’s part of a holistic healthcare model that soon includes Dentistry, Optometry, Mental Health, Audiology and Physical Therapy services. The Traveling Embedded Podiatry Training Specialist serves as a cross-functional team leader who liaises between clinical staff, administrators and NWCare’s medical leadership.
As new healthcare domains are added to NWCare’s portfolio, the individual in this role becomes increasingly vital in shaping multidisciplinary care plans that put patients first while maintaining adherence to clinical standards.
Furthermore, this position offers unmatched professional growth, especially for international medical graduates seeking visa sponsorship, foreign-trained podiatrists and professionals with diverse medical backgrounds. NWCare is one of the few healthcare employers in Oregon willing to sponsor H1B visas and accommodate Trade NAFTA (TN) visa candidates from Canada and Mexico. The organization also supports Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) through its nonprofit status, making it an attractive employer for U.S.-based medical professionals with federal student debt.
Whether you’re a foreign MBBS graduate, a healthcare worker with a science degree or an unmatched medical school graduate, NWCare offers a legitimate, rewarding career path in the United States.
In addition to the travel perks and visa sponsorship, NWCare offers a work environment built on teamwork, mutual respect and entrepreneurial spirit. The organization values initiative and encourages every team member to go beyond their job title. If you’re seeking a role that blends clinical knowledge with leadership, mentorship and travel – this is more than just a job; it’s a mission. You’ll not only help improve the lives of vulnerable patients but also shape the competencies of tomorrow’s front-line caregivers.
This opening for a Traveling Embedded Podiatry Training Specialist isn’t just about filling a position – it’s about making a difference in how podiatric care is delivered and perceived across Oregon.
