Job Responsibilities – What You’ll Be Doing

As a Cabinet Maker / Millwork Assembler, your daily tasks will include:

  • Fabricating and assembling custom cabinetry, furnishings and other wood products based on detailed technical drawings, blueprints and client specifications

  • Measuring, cutting and joining various wooden components with attention to precision and aesthetic

  • Utilizing a variety of hand tools and power tools, including sanders, drills, saws, etc., to ensure accuracy and efficiency in every task

  • Sanding and finishing wooden surfaces in preparation for painting, staining or sealing to meet project needs

  • Performing quality checks on each item to identify defects or alignment issues and correct them as required

  • Collaborating with multiple departments, including project managers, engineers, programmers and other woodworking teams to ensure projects are delivered as per timelines and specifications

  • Maintaining clean and organized work areas to ensure safety and productivity

  • Handling materials, including lifting up to 50 lbs when necessary

  • Participating in training sessions or professional development opportunities to improve skills and stay up to date with woodworking trends

Training Schedule & Onboarding:

Before transitioning to the evening shift, all new hires will undergo a thorough training program to get them up to speed with our systems and expectations.

  • Training Shift Timing: Monday through Friday

  • Hours: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

  • Duration: 8 to 12 weeks depending on individual performance

  • Advance notice will be given before the transition to the evening schedule begins

Skills & Qualifications – What We’re Looking For:

To excel in this position, you must demonstrate technical expertise and a passion for craftsmanship. Here’s what we need:

  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in custom millwork or woodworking (mandatory)

  • Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprints, architectural drawings and construction specifications

  • A background in cabinet making, preferably with architectural millwork exposure

  • Skilled in operating a range of woodworking machinery and tools (saws, sanders, drills, etc.)

  • Ability to work independently and within teams, handling complex fabrication tasks with precision

  • Detail-oriented mindset, ensuring every cut, join and finish meets high aesthetic and structural standards

  • Must be able to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and work on your feet for long hours

  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-demand environments where timelines are strict and quality is key

  • Excellent team communication and coordination skills

  • Experience with wood finishing techniques (painting, staining, varnishing) is an added advantage

  • Formal education, training or certification in millwork, cabinetry or related skilled trades is preferred
